What would be the indication on the VSI during entry into a 500 FPM actual descent from level flight if the static ports were iced over?
a. The indication would be in reverse of the actual rate of descent(500 FPM climb)
b. The initail indication would be a climb,then descent at a rate in excess of 500 FPM
c. The VSI pointer would remain  at zero regardless of the actual rate of descent

เฉลยครับคำตอบคือ ข้อ C ครับ มาดูคำอธิบายครับ
If the static port is iced cover,the a/s ind will still indicate changes in airspeed,but they will not be correct.When operatating above the altitude where the static port become clogged,the airspeed will read lower than it should.Conversely,when you are operating below that altitude,the indicator will read higher than the correct value.A blocked static port will also freeze the altimeter at the altitude the blockage occured,and the VSI will freeze at zero showing no indication of a descent or a climb. A and B are wrong because a descent would not be indicated on the VSI
 Case นี้เคยมีใน Cable TV ที่กัปตันเห็นความเร็วมากแล้วผ่อน Power โดยที่ไม่ได้ดูสาเหตุผลก้อเลยเรียบร้อยทั้งลำ

มาดูข้อต่อไปครับ
What pretakeoff check should be made of a vacuum driven heading indicator in preparation for an IFR flight?
a. After 5 min,set the indicator to the magnetic heading of the a/c and check for proper alighment after taxi turns

เฉลยปัญหาก่อนครับ คำตอบคือข้อ a ครับดูคำอธิบายกัน
Once the a/c is started,the vacuum-driven gyros should reach full operation speed within 5 monutes.After this time,set the heading indicator to the magnetic heading as indicated on the compass.While taxiing,make sure the heading indicator maintains its proper alignment after each turn.B is wrong because,unless the heading indicator is slaved to the magnetic compass,it must be initially set to the correct heading.C is wrong because it is normal for the heading to precess and,therefore it should be checked and reset,if necessary every 15 minutes during flight.
จะเห็นว่า Compass จะเป็นเครื่องวัดที่เราสามารถใช้อ้างอิงได้แต่ก็ต้องดูด้วยนะครับอย่างเช่น
ทีนี้ลองมาดูค่า error ของ compass เวลาที่เราบินบริเวณไกล้ขั้วโลกมั่งครับเช่นข้อนี้

a.The compass will initailly indicate a turn to the left
b. The compass will remain on east for a short time ,then gradually catch up to the megnetic heading of the a/c
