If the static port is iced cover,the a/s ind will still indicate changes in airspeed,but they will not be correct.When operatating above the altitude where the static port become clogged,the airspeed will read lower than it should.Conversely,when you are operating below that altitude,the indicator will read higher than the correct value.A blocked static port will also freeze the altimeter at the altitude the blockage occured,and the VSI will freeze at zero showing no indication of a descent or a climb. A and B are wrong because a descent would not be indicated on the VSI
